Whether or not you’re a member, definitely check out this rec centre’s indoor aquatic park. Ride the waves in the huge wave pool – a huge favourite for kids’ birthday parties that will score you some serious popularity points. There’s also a tot pool for the little ones, lane pool, hot tub and even a huge, blue waterslide. As a bonus, Westside’s homework room allows kids in grades six to 12 to get their studies done before or after splash time.

The climbing wall at this family recreation spot is open to climbers weekday evenings as well as afternoons Friday to Sunday (check website for seasonal hours). A wall monitor is available to belay users. Parents must sign a waiver for kids under 18 years of age.
