Cyclists and walkers taking in the sites along the Fraser River in Pitt Meadows can take a breather, sip a latte or drink a smoothie — or even have a full meal — at this café/bistro nestled in the charming Osprey Village.
Stomping Grounds has been serving its customers at its scenic riverfront location since it opened in the spring of 2011, and it is fast becoming a meeting place for the growing neighbourhood, located in Bonson’s Landing where the first Europeans settled in Pitt Meadows.
“We wanted it to become a community hub, hence the name Stomping Grounds,” explains the café’s owner Anahi English.
Just a few short years ago, Bonson’s Landing was the site of a closed mill, but the residents and leaders of the community had a vision to build a community. With homes, townhomes, parks and a community centre now located along this lovely stretch of waterfront, the natural gathering place is Stomping Grounds in the commercial centre.
“I love the community feel, how we know so many of our customers by name and that people come here to get together and enjoy Osprey Village,” says Anahi.
Located at Osprey Village in Pitt Meadows, Stomping Ground Cafe offers a family friendly, quaint environment. Enjoy your coffee overlooking the riverfront or take a relaxing stroll along the nearby walking trails. Offering a variety of coffees, teas, brunch and lunch options, there is something for everyone here.
