Pathetic customer service. Purchased a shower unit. Once it arrived, we found out they ordered the wrong one (1 vs 2 piece). They then told me I would have to wait another month for a replacement. My contractor forced the issue by calling the MAXX factory direct. Only then did they take action.
The proper unit arrived 10 days later. They REFUSED to let my contractor pick up the unit until we brought the old one back. They did not care that this WAS THEIR FAULT.
Avoid at all costs.
Go elsewhere if you are not a commercial operator with an account at Wolseley. They sell a part that I needed so in April 2012 I went to their non-commercial (retail) parts outlet at the back of the St. Matthews store. I stood there for 25 minutes and was completely ignored by staff who were busy servicing their commercial clients. I left unsuccessful in getting my part. Again in June 2012 I tried getting the part again, this time by calling. The staff whom I talked to was very gruff, and basically told me that unless I have a commercial account I would need to come down and pay first before they could order the part in, which they should have had in stock anyway, before they would order it, and if I wasn't able to do that, tough luck (pretty much in those words).
I was able to locate the part at another business later that day, in stock, and at half the price! It is beyond me why Wolseley even has a non-commercial/retail outlet since getting parts there is next to impossible, and does nothing but give them a bad name. After my experience with Wolseley, I would not buy anything from either their retail parts outlet or their retail fixtures store as the service I received just trying to get a simple part was extremely frustrating and a total waste of time. Even the rudeness with how they communicate with clients is a huge turn-off. I will never use (or try to use) Wolseley again, ever!
