This place is nice and clean but the food was horrible. everything was sweet, creamy and not warm enough.I am south asian and I know Indian food this food was just crap and prices were very high for vegetarian buffet. The staff was roaming around like zombies without paying any attention to our needs. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT,

If I could rank them in minus ten i would have (-10) for the food. nuthing near authentic indian food . everything was stale except the bread. The staff was stoned as they wont respond to my complaints. my guests were disappointed and so was I.

You can compare the food with vegetarian food...

You can compare the food with vegetarian food served free of cost in the Sikh temple, right on Dixie/Derry. In Brar you dont get value for money. price needs to reduce and service improved.

We (my wife and I) had heard a lot about Brar's...

We (my wife and I) had heard a lot about Brar's so out of curiosity decided to eat there on the Baisakhi/Good Friday evening. It takes a lot for me to criticize something but dinner at Brar's was the worst eating out experience I ever had. While the waiting staff roamed around like battery operated, expressionless robots, the food which was bland/sweet/undercooked was nowhere close to 'authentic Indian'. The environment was nothing short of eating amidst chaos. Not at all recommended.

Best all-you-can-eat restaurants in Toronto

Aptly named, Brars’ Grand Buffet is open for lunch (11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and dinner (5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.). Authentically Indian, the buffet is entirely vegetarian, consisting of dishes like paneer, samosas, aloo gobi and vegetable biryani. The restaurant first opened in 1986 and now has two locations, one in Etobicoke and one in Brampton, as well as their own line of Indian products sold at Wal Mart and Loblaws.
