Best sushi all-you-can-eat in Ottawa to my knowledge, I live in Stittsville and quite willing to make the drive. Fish is always fresh, nori is never chewy, presentation is good and the service is better than most. Weekend menu is well priced and features real tuna (not white fish) as well as some really terrific premium rolls. I've had the pleasure of experiencing multiple sushi restaurants in Ottawa, but 168 Sushi in Merivale by far stands out from the rest in regards to the variety available and quality of taste. My fiance and I recommend this location to our friends and family, as well as taking advantage of their fast and effective delivery service. The buffet at both lunch and dinner is reasonably priced and it is very easy to get your money's worth out of the food. Personal Highlights: -Miso Soup -Curry Chicken -Mango and Crab Rolls -Pork Dumplings -Salmon Roses The restaurant feels more like a night-club than a sushi buffet, but I have grown attached to the overall atmosphere. The service sometimes forgets to bring an item on the card you fill out once in a while, I recommend filling out one card per table for everyone instead of having each person fill out their own card at the same table to make it easier for the chefs (which you get to watch prep the food). I am disabled, and access use an issue that they cannot solve at that location, but they do everything that is possible to make up for it. We know our teppanyaki, and were very pleased. We came to Wasabi late one night as we were craving some sushi. The patio was booming, but the inside had about one table with people at it. We were seated right away in a large booth, the booth was very comfortable. We had to wait about 5 minutes until we actually got our menus, seems a little ridiculous considering the menus should be brought right as you sit down. We received our menus and ordered our meals. We also asked for water, which took about 5 minutes to arrive. The table behind us received their alcoholic beverages before us, and they arrived after we did. Once the sushi arrived, we were pleasantly surprised with the taste. The Sussex roll was really good! It had cream cheese, cucumber, and smoked salmon. It was nice and tidy, and the flavours of all of the items meshed well together. I was craving more as it was very delicious! Once we were finished our sushi, the server came and we asked for the bill. The server wasn't very friendly, didn't even talk to us as we were paying. I'm a university student who lives in the area, and my roommates and I discovered House of Greek last year. We were close enough to make use of the no tax when you pick up perk, which is great. Every once in a while we would order the sandwich party, sometimes with two people, sometimes with 6 (you save more money with more people). At the beginning of the school year last year the order was always perfect and the food was delicious. However, I'm a little disappointed because they stopped offering baklava in the sandwich party even though they still advertise it in the flyer. The last time I ordered there they completely messed up my order, giving me a chicken shawarma when I ordered a falafel pita. They fixed the order but made me come pick it up again. I took my family here for a birthday dinner. In every respect, the food was very good (not greasy, great portions, and well seasoned). Soup was hot and although some dishes could have been a bit hotter, everything was delicious. Service was efficient. The restaurant is clean. Parking was a bit crammed. We ordered calamari for appetizer and it came to the table way too fast! But a very interesting dish ... in a good way. Main course came about the right time. I had sable fish which was quite good but salty and a bit oily. My husband ordered a rib steak. From most of the reviews we read, Lago tends to over cooked their steaks so he ordered rare. It came out med-rare, but was good. I had key lime pie for dessert. Mediocre. The service was very good, our waitress was efficient and polite. What surprise me at the end was when I asked for my dessert to go because I could only eat about 1/3 of it. I opened the box shortly after she gave to me just to make sure it was my dessert (happened before). My dessert was literally dumped into the box ... it was splattered upside down! I am a huge fan of Asian food, but unfortunately had nowhere to go for good Korean food since moving to Ottawa, until I found Koreana that is. Koreana is a low key gem tucked away on Somerset. The staff is always super friendly and service is very quick. Tea along with complimentary appetizers are brought within a couple minutes. On to the food. I absolutely love the bulgogi which is at least as good if not better than most of the competition in in Toronto. It's always sizzling hot and if you don't put a napkin on your lap you are bound to have some crackling oil drops land there. The meat is very well marinated and tender, and the portions are very big. The various stews are likewise very good, my favorite is the pork stew. They also service sushi but I have never had to chance to try it. The bulgogi is just too hard to pass up. As with most Korean restaurants, your order is accompanied by complimentary side dishes like kimchi and seaweed. All are very good except the occasional broccoli salad which I'm not a fan of. Koreana has now become one of my monthly haunts. Highly recommended. Read more

Five of my girlfriends and I decided to try out Woody's for dinner and cocktails as it came highly recommended by one of our foodie friends. We were promptly greeted at the door by a friendly server who showed us to our candlelit table beside a fireplace. My friends and I each decided to order a different cocktail or martini and try a few sips of each - my favourites were the Woody's Caesar and Dream Soda. For dinner I tried the dinner special - a generous half rack of pork side ribs with jalapeno apple bbq sauce, homemade creamed corn, mashed potatoes and a buttermilk biscuit, it fell away from the bone effortlessly and was cooked to perfection. I also had a bite of the sliders that my friend had been raving about and the combination of carmelized onion and brie cheese was delicious! We all had plans to go out to another spot after, but were having so much fun at Woody's that we decided to stay. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend this pub to anyone in the future. Read more

There are 155 items on the menu, so we read for a while. The server took our order as soon as we were ready and the meal was served quite quickly. This was good, because the place filled up by about 11.45. We were given our banana dessert before we had quite finished, but decided that was ok, given the crowd.
