Prairie Girl Bakery stays true to its down-home prairie roots, and bakes every treat from scratch, using traditional, wholesome ingredients. Owner and proud Saskatoon native Jean Blacklock left her former careers in law and banking to follow her passion for fresh baked goods. She opened Prairie Girl Bakery in April 2011. Now, the bakery boosts three locations including Yorkville. Her gluten-free options include six-packs of frozen, gluten-free mini-muffins of two kinds: red velvet minis with cream cheese frosting, and chocolate minis with strawberry icing.
