It’s true that there are a ton of great breakfast options in Vancouver, but some of them will cost you an arm and a leg. How often do you want to spend that much before Noon? Plus this cozy little gem is just up the street from Kits Beach, the perfect destination for a post-breakfast stroll.

NSCS Discovery Café

NSCS Discovery Café is run by students from the North Shore Culinary School’s tuition-free program and located at the Jericho Beach HI Hostel. Order the classic breakfast and you’ll get eggs, bacon, hash browns, and a homemade biscuit for just $5. Cheap eats paired with beautiful views make this lovely little spot hard to beat when it comes to breakfast.

Bon’s is infamous in Vancouver for their $2.99 all-day breakfast. And you really do get a bang for your buck here with their heaping portion size. This breakfast fills up your whole plate and your belly with two slices of toast, two eggs, a load of delicious pan-fried potatoes, and three pieces of quality bacon, sausage, or ham.

The Regal Beagle in Kitsilano has a lengthy menu with varied prices, but the cheapest option is the Beagle Breakfast that gets you eggs, bacon, house potatoes and toast for $4.99. Avocado or chorizo can be added to your order for only a few extra bucks, which you can definitely afford to treat yourself to at this price.

The Nice Café on East 8th Avenue has a large and inexpensive breakfast menu on which you won’t find anything over $9. While everything on the menu is affordable, the thriftiest option is the all-day breakfast deal of two eggs, hash browns, toast, and your choice of ham, bacon, sausage, or tomato, all for less than $5.
