Ok so Sauga is full of great places, and Axia is one of those great places we always meet friends at when we're in the region. The sushi here is quality and consistent. You can tell right away that they use a higher grade of fish than some of the local AYCE (all-you-can-eat) places. The Dragon rolls and spicy rolls are pretty much different than any other place I've been to which keeps me coming back. The wifey doesn't like sushi, so she likes to stick with the Chinese and Thai food which she absolutely loves. The look and feel is nice, sort of like an outdoorsy theme. Service was friendly and fast and the bill is reasonable for a place like this. Anyways, give Axia a try, it's one of those places that'll keep you coming back for more. Read more

Here is my unbiased unpaid for review after visiting the restaurant last night. This is a high quality, high end buffet. Where other buffets people eat at and do not complain because a lower food quality is expected for buffet this restaurant surpassed all my expectations. Went to Dim Sum New years morning at 11:00 the restaurant was 1/4 full by 11:45 it was lined up outside. Food was very good and portion sizes were good. Staff was very friendly and smiling. Hey Legend fans, enough! Don't spread the word anymore or we will all regret it and just have to resort to take-out. Our favourite little lunch spot was fully jammed this Wednesday at noon. We were lucky to get the last available table. In spite of the crowd service was almost as prompt as usual thanks to the cheerful senior server with only a beginner helping him, - sort of, out front. Our meals were as good as always once we rescued them from another table with ample seasoning, ingredients and spice. And please don't mention their exceptional value either. Let's keep it ours. I am Japanese and I like this restaurant! I have ordered Sushi only. I haven't tried other menus yet. Sushi is good quality and service is good. I pay around 10 dollars for sushi. (5 pieces of sushi and 8 pieces of maki rolls) It's very very affordable. If other people complain that it's not the best quality, this is not the place to go. You can't get the best quality for 10 bucks. Please go to restaurant owned by Japanese. However, if you're looking for affordable, decent quality sushi, I highly recommend Bento Box. I've been to 4 other Japanese restaurants in Burlington but I only go to Bento Box now. Read more

Faced with an 8 page menu, exhaustive in its range of enticing descriptions of Japanese and Korean food, I opted to sample the former side by having soup, salad and appetizers (3 as it turned out). I love miso soup and have had incarnations of it in many places in Canada and abroad but this broth was simply fabulous in the depth and complexity of what is often a flat, watery introduction to a meal. The poky salad (fresh tuna, julienned seaweed, etc.) was vibrant, flavourful and spicy as advertised. I started my appetizer foray with mandu yaki (small homemade dumplings with a combo of 8 different ingredients) and tako yaki (fried minced octopus balls with a unagi and katsu sauce on the side). Can you say FABULOUS?. Having washed it all down with warm sake, I rested for a while and then tackled a tempura dish: soft shelled crab (4 pieces) with a ponzu sauce. Cheer again. Service was attentive and friendly and relaxed especially when the young lady and John, the son of the owner realized that I wasn't in a hurry. (I was honoured with a tempura zucchini sample from the owner's garden (in the back he said when I mentioned that he had tomatoes growing in the front). This is simply wonderful food, presented with smiles and pride by people who love doing what they do. I can't wait to return and try some deeply Korean dishes of which there is an abundance on that wide-ranging menu. Read more

My boyfriend and I often go here because it's the only Dim Sum we know that uses carts in Mississauga. We particularly like it as they seem to have a much wider selection (e.g. crab claws, suckling pig) than normal restaurants which serve Dim sum. In terms of quality, I don't think they are best. I have had much better quality of food at other restaurants. Also, even though the selection is vast... What happened to the shui mai? How do you have crab claws and not shui mai?!?! (Edit: Found out you need to order the shui mai... I did and it was not good at all) I noticed the cart ladies seem to be a bit more strange than at other restaurants... Some will FLY past you, others will scream food names right at you. It is kind of fun for me and my boyfriend to laugh about. (I should note we are both Chinese and both have gone to various restaurants for Dim Sum, and we notice the cart ladies here are particularly strange) What I found particularly interesting is how many non-Chinese people eat here. I think it's the only Dim sum place I have seen to have such a variety of people here. I should note that this place gets amazingly busy around noon. My boyfriend and I tend to go around 10:30 or 11 and usually find a seat quickly. If you come at 12 (especially looking for a larger table) you are doomed! haha So to sum it up: -Amazing and sometimes unique selection... except that the shui mai has disappeared! -Decent food quality but not the best. E.g. The shrimp in the ha gow tastes fishy, the dough fritter in the chun fun is soggy sometimes, the spare ribs in the black bean spare ribs w/rice are so boney ahhh! -Strange cart ladies lol. Sometimes rude, sometimes friendly -Get there before 12 if you don't like waiting! It's actually more normal to eat Dim sum earlier in the day anyway :). Also, it seems one reviewer on here stated that the adults and kids are noisy. This is normal for a Chinese restaurant, especially as one as big as Emerald. Read more
