itake my mother and friends at least twice a year to her friends cottage near Perth. it is 2 hours from Niagara almost to the second, and it is at a perfect place to rest and enjoy their fare. Always delicious, and they have the BEST lemonde! I can't see how anyone who visits this jewel, hidden in the corner of the plaza, would find any fault at all. I stumbled upon Dennis' little oasis about 5 years ago and it has become a weekly ritual. Jerk chicken is to die for. Ox tail is the best I have ever had for sure and the rice and peas stand up to any carribean resaurant in the GTA for sure. I have moved to Calgary and put my family as 1A and the Jerk Pit as 1B as things I miss the most. No Caribbean restaurant out here even compares. Read more

I moved from Unionville to Newmarket two years ago. I still make a monthly pilgrimage to Mr Fish and Chips because I haven't found anything remotely comparable from here to Vaughan. The fish batter is light and flaky. Their chips are good, but the potato fritters (my personal favourite) are lip-smacking goodness. The eat-in area is pretty basic. Definitely NOT somewhere to go on a first date. Come for the food, not the ambiance. Read more
