I have been to this location before and have always been somewhat satisfied, decent food/service..but today was completely different.The young man working the dinner hour shift named Alex was absolutely incredible....came around and asked if we were all happy with our food, asked everyone, then came over and started CLEANING tables for customers, putting trays in garbage etc.I have NEVER seen that in a fast food joint(young lady helped too!!) Great food, always fresh. I like it better then KFC imo. There’s been time I went to KFC in Midland near closing time and picked up chicken and you can tell the chicken was fried a while ago, it was dry as ice ? .. Dixie Lee’s chicken is always fresh. Their fries and gravy are awesome, and the macaroni salad is amazing. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed. Plus the chicken pieces are a good size. It’s a 5/5 ⭐️ in my books. Read more

Not only the best breakfast in the area, but the best value. (Especially if you are a senior.) 2 good sized eggs, 4 strips of bacon, texas toast and home-fires not frozen cubes. I get a side of hot peppers and coffee. For two of us .... just over $11.00 with tax!! (If you aren't a senior it would come to around $12.50) Never had a problem with any of the waitresses. Food is cooked properly. Atmosphere is the usual R&R diner that plays a good selection of 50's & '60's music. You can go a few blocks away and pay $16 for a lot less! I LOVE tacos, so I stop in Barrie for them as often as I can. Our last visit was especially pleasant: Not only one of my favourite foods, but GREAT customer service as well, Thanks to Gagan and her team.. The woman, (Gagan), who served us went to great lengths to ensure that we were shown a map and understood it, after we asked for directions, even though she is not a driver herself.
