We live out of the area and normally don't eat at ESM's as we have been bitterly disappointed in the past. Not so at this location! Our experience here put this restaurant back on our radar! Great service, friendly staff (ask for Holly, she's lovely) and the kids were well looked after. Not to mention the ice-cold beer and fresh and tasty food. If you have given up on East Side Mario's don't pass this one up. These guys should show the rest of the chain how it's done! EXCELLENT! Read more

Not sure about the other reviewer, but after reading this review, I had to register and give an opinion on one of our favorite little take out places we know. We visit our cottage regularly about 2 kms from this "super" Chip Wagon, mostly in the summer months, and have many local friends who all rave about the food at George's (from what we understand, it's not the owner's name). The ice cream is great, and we order it EVERY time - judging by all the tall white ice cream bins and the ice cream menu sign out front, Reid's dairy is the supplier from Belleville. The burgers and fresh cut fries are fantastic, I'm not a fish lover, but our friends order their halibut fish & chips EVERY time we go. As for locals, our local friends said this place has been there for like 10-15 or more years, some of them claim to have gained weight from eating there so often, so have to disagree with the local opinion comments - though I guess any time you go to a small town, opinions will may vary! In our family opinion, it's a lovely place to eat, great atmosphere on the way to the local beaches and cottages, on a nice summer weekend. We would and have, recommended to anyone we know! Omg this place is an absolute Gem! My husband , myself and my mother inlaw were on our way from New Brunswick to Ontario. During a snow storm ( March 4th 2023) the owner G was amazing! The breakfast was the best I've ever had. The coffee is so so good! The customer service and hospitality we received here will be something we all talk and rave about forever! Even the customers were delightful! We left full and happy! Even got some homemade banana bread for the ride with a top up to our coffee. Read more
