Cookie Occasion has held a special place in the heart of each Calgarian, and it goes without saying the same is true for current owner Kate Sawyer. She has been selling cookies at Cookie Occasion since she was in high school, and she's always had a passion for baking and making the community a brighter place.

After high school, Kate went on to study the ins and outs of running a small business while still working under the previous owners. When she finished her degree, buying Cookie Occasion with her mother Kathy as her lead baker was a no-brainer.
