My wife and I went in here after hearing from friends that it was a decent casual fine dining restaurant. We stopped in on a Friday evening about 8:30pm. We were seated right away, the hostess was very pleasant. Our waitress came and brought us menu's then didn't come back. Approximately 15minutes later, we got the attention of another waitress who instead of taking our order, said she would go find our waitress. Once our waitress came, she was apparently quite annoyed and showed it in the way she dealt with us. We placed our order, drinks as well. The meal came in a normal amount of time, our drinks came half way through the meal, with our bill. There was part of our dinner order that we did not recieve. After checking to ensure it was not on the bill, we finished up and made sure to leave the waitress specifically a 2% tip, "to the penny". It was certainly not what I expected from this restaurant.
$27.- for a naked 7oz tenderloin and fries [no vegetable is overpriced. The kitchen was unable to provide a sauce bearnaise, but served a ramekin with melted butter instead. This otherwise appealing place needs a classical trained Chef.
Service was abissmal. Food only average. Place was dirty!
We arrived at 2:00 pm. Ordered the steak sandwich. Steak was tough and only covered 2/3 of the bun. The french fries were the worst I had ever had. They were dark brown. We did not eat them nor did the waitress enquiry why. I did not send it back as the cook and watress could see how bad they looked when serving. Unknown to us our daughter, son-in-law & his daughter arrived just after us. They sent theirs back but, they came back the same way. They will not return either.
The service was slow, the food cold, the manager unapologetic. I was beside myself at how this restaurant can claim to be upscale or even fine dining, when they could not even compete with a greasy spoon or diner. My last visit there a few years ago was much better. The staff cared and the food was great. Definitely going downhill quickly.
