This place is fanstastic and it's in Ingersoll! Best Thai food that I've had in a long time. The ingredients were really fresh and the flavour was what the Japanese call, "Ooishi", or delicious. The green curry was oozing with basil and cocunut flavours, just the right amount of hotness and the beef stir-fry was all about the lemon-grass goodness. We only ordered one bowl of rice, should have had one each. We finished off our meal with the lychee ice cream. It was really yummy too. The service was very genuine. We asked about how to order based on the extensive menu and an excellent answer was provided. The server explained that the dishes were meant to be shared. So for two people he recommended that each of us pick an entree along with a rice and appetizer. It was just the right amount of food.... although I think I'll order three dishes next time so I can have left overs:) With respect to the atmosphere...not what you expect from the blue on wite "Mango Salad" sign you see from the outside. The inside has a cozy atmosphere, great red/yellow detail with Thai decor. Overall I was pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem that was in my own back yard!

I would be lying if I gave any restaurant a "10". Every restaurant needs improvement. Here goes; The food was excellent, everything was fresh (not bad for middle of nowhere Ingersoll) and was authentic, none of this Canadianized ethnic food. It was the real deal. The service was attentive, but a little peculiar, as we had one waitress start us off and the other waitress took over, while our original waitress took over the other tables. (I'm thinking of a high school dance and someone yells "snowball"; everyone scrambles to find a new dance partner). Ambiance was decent, a good try, but it still reeks of Chinese take-out which it was before Mango Salad was born. Who really cares anyway, it's about food and service. The only down side is the portion size. They are on the small size, compared to it's price. (I'm comparing it, noodle to noodle (The Pad Thai compared to Seafood noodles from authentic Chinese food--not take aways or "Chinese" buffets like Manderin, Bamboo in Woodstock or King's buffet). But in all fairness, I have included the price of freshness and considered it's location to fresh products and still find it a little pricey. Definitely try it out; I'm sure to return
