Service was great. Disappointed with Julienne Salad I ordered. Mainly all lettuce, the mini cubed ham was sparse, as with other ingredients, except for the hard boiled egg. My 2 other companions food order looked good.
Just brought some out of town business travellers here for breakfast as they wanted something fast and inexpensive. Everyone was very impressed with the meal and as usual we got a really good breakfast for a low price. I enjoy coming here for breakfast as I always see people I know and the place has a warm community feeling to it.
Love it, good portion sizes.
As the owners of a restaurant in Niagara I understand exactly what Queens Coach purpose is. Sell great food and keep it affordable. I love the decor. It's simple and clean and the food is usually better than we pay for. It is hard for any business to satify everyone especially when some have pathetic unrealistic expectations. Those people also complain about the prices at fancy restaurants. You know the ones who charge you for the embiance. No it doesn't come free. Some restaurants spend up to 1million to reach that level and that gets passed on to the customer in the price. I'm thankful to have a restaurant like Queens Coach in my city. The food is very satisfying, the price is right and I feel very at home. It's nice to see a 4 star rating on here. Obviousely the few negative people always get drowned out by the more intelligent of the crowd.
This place made us feel at home. This was our first trip to Canada. We were more than pleasently surprised by the staff, food and atmosphere. I would and will send everyone I know to this place. The poutine was off the wall crazy good. I would personally like to thank the staff for everything.
My girlfriends and I frequently visit Queens Coach to have a quick bite before we start our day. The food as always is tasteful and comes out quickly however the people cooking the food and the area they prepare it in is questionable. Also I don't think there has ever been a time where we have actually had a server who was polite and asked us how our meal was. I have been there many times with no quality check when we have had issues with our order. If the server ever does approach the table 9 out of 10 times she is rude and snappy and usually not even our server as she is no where to be found. Coming from someone who also works in the restaurant industry I would like to see Queens Coach make some serious changes with their staff and building. Just because it used to be a "smoke pit" for bikers and whoever else back then dosn't mean it still has to be one now, the atmosphere makes it even harder for us to enjoy our breakfast.
The food at breakfast and lunch is fine; otherwise the menu is rather limiting. The decor of this restaurant is very lacking and is in need of serious updating. The booth seats are uncomfortable for most people and oddly shaped making entry and exit difficult. I wouldn't really recommend the restaurant at supper. It can be dark and dingy in there with no natural light by that time. In short, it is quick and cheap. It would be threatened seriously by a restaurant with quick cheap food and a nicer atmosphere. The front hall leading into the restaurant is not kept free of water puddles and the floor becomes quite slippery. There is even no sign warning of a "wet floor" (winter time). Similarly, the restaurant is slow/if at all, to salt the parking area in winter conditions. The windows could be kept cleaner so there is not obvious mud on them and the front door leading into the main restaurant room should be clean.
I've been there for breakfast and lunch several times. The full breakfast is very, very good. The toasted western at lunch is a little skimpy. I have to say the battered fish is generous but I like a certain chippewa restaurant's fish better.
The Queen's coach serves fast, inexpensive, and not to mention delicious food. Although it may need rennovations and improved wait staff, this is a fantastic resturant...especially for breakfast and should not be missed
my first time there, the food was GREAT, the service was FAST and efficient, we had a very nice server. pierogies were YUM, VERY tasty homemade burger and soup. I'll be back!
I just have one thing to say. I used to work here as a cook. I will say that there are some cleanliness issues but I know that the food is good and fast. Some of the waitstaff are questionable, as was some of the kitchen staf( who are no longer there from what I have been told from people I am still friendly with). With that being said, Falls Nurse can not say that all the posts of people saying that the food was bad or what have you. That DOES happen. Just because you are always fully satisfied does not mean that the posts are "part of some childish joke" I have to say "shame" on you for assuming that everyone should agree with you. I also know that the "regulars" got better service and more care taken on their food... as per bosses orders. So some of you love it, others hate it. The world will still turn Falls Nurse!!!
I have been there for every meal of the day. Absolutely love this place, nice, cozy, and the food is good and made quickly. Love it Great prices Not great servers
i hated this place... it deserves to be shut down and never to be spoken about everagain... the service was fine but the food was horrible.. and was an very unkept place.. not a satifory eating environment
Despite the fact that the place is falling apart, the food value:food price ratio is unparalleled in the Niagara Falls district. I can order a meal that will satisfy my morning desires for a grand total of $5 (including tip). Fantastic for the student with a tight budget or anyone looking for a nice, cheap breakfast.
We have been eating at the "Queen's" for years and we enjoy it very much. The kitchen is so fast, we can get great tasting, healthy meals almost as quick as a drive-thru! The servers are all so nice, it's nice to have a place to go that welcomes locals and encourages us to return year-round. We often go to eat at the "Queen's" with company from out-of-town and each time someone returns for a visit they ALWAYS ask us to take them back again for another great meal.
My husband, children, parents and I have been eating at the Queen's Coach (not to be confused with the Queen's downtown) for years, as do many of our friends, neighbours and co-workers. This is a restaurant that cares about the local customers, keeps the prices down, consistently providing FAST service. Sometimes we have to wait in line for tables, this place is SURELY not hurting for business, and it gets busier all the time. I've browsed the local restaurant reviews from time to time, posted a few myself and have noticed that the reviews for this restaurant definitely seem to differ from the others. It seems to me that many of the reviews posted on this thread are the work of disgruntled adolescents. WHAT A SHAME. Our oldest child is now working at her 2nd job and starting to go out to eat with her friends, often they will chose Queen's Coach (as they also like a deal for their hard earned dollars) and usually find that if they behave respectably in public, then they will be treated respectably as well. We, also would like to have this restaurant in a newer building, but are aware that new spaces create higher overhead, which trickles down to me, the paying customer. Admittedly, there are a few things I would like to see changed, but ....all things considered a smart choice in our busy lives. I, for one, am so pleased to have this place to go to. RE: review posted by "Rusty Shacklef U rd" (the kid can't even spell) Did you know........ Dale Alvin Gribble is a character in the animated series King of the Hill. He is an exterminator, bounty hunter, chain-smoker, and paranoid believer of almost all conspiracy theories. Due to his beliefs, he uses the alias "Rusty Shackleford" whenever he doesn't want his real name known, including when ordering pizza (however he inevitably reveals his identity anyways after a few minutes through one act of stupidity or another, such as use the two names interchangeably with the same person). .............. among other obvious indicators of some of those posts being part of some childish joke. SHAME
The atmosphere was pleasant & the food was overall tasty, although the mashed potatoes were a bit lumpy. Our server was very polite and prompt. The price was very reasonable. We'll be back.
A Niagara landmark! Frequented my locals for years... great food for the buck. Sunday brunch is a must
food was great however, the motorcycle chick who seats the customer is beyond vulgar and crude, this server makes fun of the elderly and mimicked an old crippled man. absoletly disgusting, this server has no right working for the public and the owners should be made aware of the unapropriate behaviour.I had a hard time explaining this behaviour to my children
First visit. Thought the food was great and a great value. Waitress was very helpful and pleasant. Will certainly be back.
