My brother got married a few months back and hosted the rehearsal dinner at The Sultan's Tent. It was amazing and we all had a great time. The food was delicious & the atmosphere was beautiful. We all had fun belly dancing!! It was a blast!
Went with a couple of friends and family for a friends birthday last night! Waiter had an attitude I have never seen before. The food was not that great... Very blend you don't feel any African spices in it... The price was way to high.... And one belly dancer that I can dance better then... They will never see me again that's for SURE!!!
Didn't Know I Ordered A Side Of BRUTAL W/ My Dinner
Heard about this place for a bit & decided to finally try it out... Big disappointment. Food was sub-par, not bad, but definitely not worth the prices & as Moroccan as a Loblaw's hummus dip. They definitely get you on the add-ons, which is a joke, considering the prices of the add-ons are ON TOP of your base $39.99 meal. Show was OK, but nothing to rave about. Service was brutal... 2+ hours for a table of 2... And the worst part, AUTOMATIC SERVICE CHARGE OF 15%... for a TABLE OF 2?? What type of establishment does that? Definitely felt gouged... For the prices, there are TONS of better places to go... And even if the food was cheaper, I still think there are much better places out there to spend your money & time...
Having been to Sultans Tent many time I have to say that this is one of my favorite Toronto restaurants. The food, the service, the belly dancing on Saturday night and the overall experience is great.
From the couscous, to the lamb to the appetizers, everything they have on the menue is great. With only steps from BCE place & the Sony centre this is a very well located place.
This decadent and singular tribute to Moroccan merrymaking is always in party mode. Here, soon-to-be-marrieds can find much levity to divert them from the gravity of their looming nuptials, including bare-midriffed belly dancers and a lavish décor decked out in rich pillows and drapes. Staff here will happily step in to help you plan your event.
