So I haven't been back to this restaurant since the summer, but came across it on this website and thought I'd add my two cents. I frequent a few of the restaurants on Main St. regularly. La Grotta is my least favorite. My boyfriend and I, who is Italian, went there on a nice warm night in the summer. We thought we'd give this place a try. It really wasn't good at all. The food was mediocre. I'm not sure if they have changed the chef since then, but it left such a bad taste in our mouths we have not been back. I have suggested to my boyfriend that we try it again, but being a loyal Italian he said he would not eat that 'off the shelf' sauce again. I just hope that the restaurant takes these reviews and works to improve its quality. It's better to take the feedback and rather than get all defensive about it.
we bean in tha restaurant 4 days before on satuerday at 6;00 pm. we did not want to leave until 11;00 pm. This is our beautiful time in our life.Thanks a lot for la Grotta.
I'd like to thank La Grotta restaurant for hosting my father's surprise B-Day party this past weekend.The service was humorous and courteous.The food was very flavourful.The homemade bread was amazing and it reminded me when my mom used to make it.Above all we loved your veal chop and the warm apple crumble.I can tell you guys rock and the food is made from scratch.Prices are modest and your wine selection is extensive and modestly priced.Your Unionville main street location is like gold and your restaurant reminds me of Italy.Thank you again.
