We have ate there many times and never had a problem. Excellent food and service. As we have been staying home and only eating from home during the quarantine, we miss our bi monthly meals at Halibut House. Once we start eating restaurant food again, (probably take out first), they will be our first choice.

Really good service, really good food. The fish is fresh and cooked to perfection. They can even grill it if you'd like.
Love the fries, you can tell they are fresh cut.
try the fried mushrooms, delicious.
Place has its age but I think it adds to the charm.
Visit more than once and you become family.

I had a hankering for a fish and chips lunch one weekday and decided to search my GPS's "points of interest" for something local. English Bay came up as the closest place and I sure am glad it did.
It's a small cozy feeling restaurant, probably about 12-16 seats, not too busy (11:30am). The service was attentive, and the Haddock fish and chips?... the best I've had to date. Oh yeah, the gravy was unique and also tasted great!
I thought the meal was a little pricey but being small and in a plaza, I know that rents can be pretty steep, I guess that kind of justifies it.
I will definitely visit again.

Very impressed with the large portions and flavour, so much so that we were back today with four family members. One had pancakes, one had bacon/sausage and scrambled eggs, the other four of us had fish (pollock) & chips plus a side of turtles. Service was good and our waitress was delightful. Keep up the good work!!
