Have always enjoyed dropping into the Mow for dinner and drinks with friends, but a recent menu change removed a lot of the more interesting menu options and has reduced this place to having more of a cookie-cutter menu. "Mundane" may be too harsh a description, but it's a direct reflection of how much we liked the variety that could be found on the menu previously. We'll likely still go back, but more for drinks and snacks rather than for meals. Read more

No long winded review here just want to state the facts. Excellent food, service is great, atmosphere is good but not great considering its in a parking lot. But take note that the bathrooms just reek, I was there 2 yrs earlier and the one thing I remembered was how smelly the mens bathroom was, well it hasn't changed. Its such a turnoff because it only makes me wonder if management has no control or cares less about sanitary conditions then I wonder how the kitchen is maintained. Too bad cause otherwise its a great eating place. Read more

I've been to this place many times and i admit in the past I've been disappointed. proximity alone kept us going back until recently; There has been a complete change in atmosphere. Over the last Month or so the service has improved as has the food quality! The Servers look like they're happy to be there and genuinely happy to have you there, big smiles and all! This restaurant is such a contradiction. It has the potential to become the best restaurant in Ottawa (if not the country). All the elements are in place. Awesome, atmosphere, great staff (mostly), and good food. The only stick in the ointment is a single toxic personality in the guise of a server, who seems intent on destroying all of that and ensuring that you never come back. She's a bit older than the other servers (who are all excellent), but this is not about age. Irene's up the road seems like an older crowd of patrons and servers, but they are awesome...but I digress, this not about Irene's, I just wanted to show that the contradiction at Patty's boils down to one personality. It's a real pity, because everything and everyone else there is out of this world. Read more
